Every holiday project starts with accommodation; as it’s the key element to make a holiday a success. At the Campsite-resort La Forêt in Saint Jean de Monts, you are assured of the peace, privacy and comfort that you seek.

This eco-friendly open-air hotel promises a stay in a completely natural setting, located between the sea, forest and marshes. Cycle paths, walking pathways and trail-running routes criss-cross through the pine trees opposite the campsite and just a few minutes away, via the direct pathway, you can access the vast sandy beach of the Plage du Pont Yeu.

Wiebke and Gregory are keen to make sure their campsite fits as well as possible into its remarkable environment. The couple have introduced a variety of processes in line with their commitment to sustainable tourism and as a result of these, the campsite has been awarded the Clef Verte quality mark. Over the tree-filled hectare of the park, there are no less than 1700 different items of vegetation. La Forêt campsite is a sensibly sized, and family friendly establishment, and feels just like a garden house.

The site, which is monitored, offers a range of modern and high-quality accommodation for your Vendée holidays, between April and September.


Spacious and shady pitches of approximately 100m², carefully sectioned off by hedges to ensure freedom and calm. The sanitation block has individual tiled cubicles and walk-in showers. The utmost care is given to cleaning and maintenance for the comfort of our campers.
Modern designed and fully equipped mobile homes which are manufactured locally less than 30km from the campsite. Their location, in the heart of the park, has been carefully thought out so that none of the terraces overlook each other.

These 14 luxury Villas du Bois Marin have been designed by a specialist architect.
They are contemporary with sophisticated décor and extra wide bay windows. These allow a huge amount of light to enter plus views of the lush vegetation. Great care has also been taken with the exteriors. Each house has its own private patio surrounded by vegetation as well as a terrace covered by a pergola. These top quality villas can accommodate 2 – 6 people and have excellent facilities on offer. Half of the villas have private jacuzzis on the terrace, which promise moments of well-being in enchanting surroundings.

To further enhance your relaxation, La Forêt campsite**** has a swimming pool heated to 28°C, with Jacuzzi area, looking out over the pine trees. Younger children can discover the fun of water play in the paddling pool. If you fancy something different, there’s the option of table tennis, pool and other games in the dedicated games room. You can continue bathing in nature with walks and visits. The campsite offers a cycle hire service enabling you to discover the forest paths and seaside cycle paths in your own way.

Throughout your stay, you will be well looked after by Wiebke, Gregory and their son Luis. The family make a point of personalising each holidaymaker’s stay and they take great pleasure in sharing their knowledge and recommendations with their visitors. These tips and special offers, which are known about only by word of mouth, can also be shared in English or German! The family are committed to offering the same level of quality service to international visitors as to their French visitors. To that end, and given that Wiebke is German, it was only natural to commit to the "Welcome" and "Willkommen" schemes for English and German speaking visitors.
