Claude-Marie LAURENT is a calligrapher and painter. He trained as a letter painter and graphic artist at the Derval school in Surgères, the Brassart school and the Beaux-Arts school in Tours.
From the outset, in parallel with his work as a letter painter, graphic artist and freelance advertising illustrator, he has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
For over 20 years, Claude-Marie Laurent has devoted himself exclusively to non-traditional research into contemporary, gestural Latin calligraphy. As a professional calligrapher and painter, his clients include individuals, businesses and local authorities. He also shares his passion for the art of calligraphy by giving courses.
