The island of Yeu with its safe sandy beaches lends itself to an ideal family holiday

- Plage des Vieilles: this French beach is one of the most beautiful on the island and is located in the southern part of the island near the Pointe des Corbeaux. This beautiful sandy bay is hidden among the small cliffs of this rocky coast. It is crowded in high season and its gently sloping beach makes it ideal for families with children. Parking is available nearby. Access by bicycle is recommended.

- La plage de Barbâtre: this long, gently sloping sandy beach extends from the southern tip of the island to La Guérinière. Located on the Atlantic Ocean and perfect for the ideal family beach holiday.

- La plage des Sableaux: this French beach is supervised by lifeguards in July and August. It is located south of the Pointe de Saint Pierre (adjacent to the Plage des Dames beach) and extends hundreds of metres towards Fort Larron. There are numerous beach huts at the Bois de la Chaise section. Water sports can be practised on site. It is also the ideal place for lovers of fishing in the pools between the rocks. Moreover, picnic tables in the shade provide the ideal opportunity for a quick lunch. Access by bicycle is recommended.
