The Vendee’s rolling countryside, full of history and many chateaux

Chateau accommodation in France, is readily available in the Vendee’s bocage, near the Puy du Fou®. The Chateau de la Flocellière offers five rooms in the chateau, two historic gites and additional chateau accommodation in the form of an independent gite located in the chateau outbuildings. An additional little privilege is a succulent candlelit dinner in fine china tableware.

The Chateau de l'Auneau is located in the heart of the Domaine de l'Auneau on the banks of the Petit Lay River. The chateau offers guest rooms in addition to a Tables d’Hotes status. The garden is listed as part of the “Remarkable gardens” Label.

Château de la Richerie à Beaurepaire

Situated on a hillside and overlooking two rivers, Chateau de la Richerie has been awarded "Les Collectionneurs" label. The chateau accommodation consists of 20 luxury rooms decorated with Empire style furniture.

Between the Puy du Fou® and the national forest of Grasla, the 17th and 18th century Chateau de la Rabatelière has two comfortable rooms and a suite, offering exceptional chateau accommodation for passing guests. The grounds of 24-hectare crisscrossed by romantic bridle paths, also provide a relaxing peaceful retreat.

Located in Puybelliard, near Chantonnay, the British owned Chateau de Puybelliard can accommodate up to 15 people. An ideal location for large groups.

The Manoir de Ponsay dates back to 1492 and has been in the same family for eleven generations. The Manor house itself, has an interesting past, being partly burnt down during the Vendean war and then restored after the Revolution. It has five rooms and a studio as well as an unusual dovecote with a well-preserved revolving ladder.

The Chateau du Breuil’s accommodation consists of four guest rooms and four attractive gites, located in converted “Napoleon III” style outbuildings. Their decor has an Italian influence. In addition, an 18th century style decoration is also present. The old stained-glass windows and sublime woodwork add a comfortable warm atmosphere.
