Marylou and Damien, welcome you to their unusual eco-lodges where everything is designed for a rejuvenating and relaxing stay. Their passion for eco-construction and a great respect for heritage, where the unifying theme which gave birth to this project. Certified by Green Key, the estate is committed to a responsible approach to environmental protection. By ensuring the improvement and research of non-polluting options solutions for waste management and alternative energy sources. This area is located along a cycle path and is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. Bikes can be rented locally.
Your short break in Step-by-step details
The estate is made up of several areas. At the entrance, the old, renovated barn welcomes you and includes: a tearoom/ bar, an exhibition room, and a kitchen with a catering service. This opens out onto a large courtyard delightfully reconstructed in the traditional style. Following on in the prolongation, is a magnificent dryer, whose walls are made with latticed tiles taken from the renovated barn. A permaculture garden adds to the list the various products grown on site. Nearby, the natural pool uses an innovative natural filtering system, with no traces of salt or chlorine. At the far end of the estate, 5 private eco-lodges villas are perfectly integrated into the landscape. Sitting behind the small ditch and tall marsh grasses which separates them from the main farmhouse.

Accommodation:
Blending perfectly into the more untamed part of the estate are the pontoon villas. Proudly displaying their wooden facades and large bay windows which open out onto their individual terraces. The "pontoon" villas accommodate up to 5 people and benefit to an exceptional sun exposure throughout the day. They consist of:
- a living room with equipped kitchen and wood stove
- 2 bedrooms: a master bedroom with 1 double bed (160) + a bedroom with 2 single beds (90). An extra bed of 90.
- 1 bathroom.
The living room opens onto a large wooden terrace of 35m², equipped with a hammock, a forest table and an outdoor shower.
The restaurant:
Discover the “Comptoir,” a friendly bar / tearoom, made up of 2 rooms and a beautiful, landscaped terrace. You can taste homemade organic products:
- Lemonade / iced tea
- Squeezed fruit juices and smoothies
- Teas, pastries, and cakes
- Draught beers, local wines - House cocktails
The organic grocery store, offers products all tested and approved by Marylou:
- Basic organic groceries, produce sold loosely
- Selection of teas and herbal teas / local wines / beers
- Fruit juice / organic bakery / cream from La Goulpière dairy farm - "Le P’tit Vendéen" sardines from a cannery. 100% homemade take-away meals can also be ordered (8 €), ideal for your day excursions!
Nearby beaches and marshes:
The Marais Girard and the Normandelière beaches are located at just 250 m from the estate. These 2 fine sandy beaches are just perfect for families, providing a beach club that welcomes children from 4 to 14 years old. To the other side of the beach, a rockier area is ideal for rock pooling.
La Normandelière offers a great variety of sporting activities: catamaran, windsurfing, kayaking, optimist (sailing club and sailing school on site). The nearby beach Les Dunes, one amongst numerous other beaches along the coast, favours surfing and kitesurfing activities. On the inland side of the estate you access to the wetland area which includes “Marais de la Gachère”, rich aquatic landscapes and numerous unusual walks.

Vendée Tourism Avantage: 1 (30 minute) sauna session offered per person during your stay.
Tourist tax and deposit (400 €) to be paid on site. Check in from 4pm.
Booking:
Reservations by phone on +33(0)2 51 62 76 82 or by email at resa@vendee-tourisme.com. A 25% deposit is required when booking. The final balance needs to be paid 30 days before your stay. Booking fees: € 15 per booking. Methods of payment accepted: credit card (except Amex), bank transfer.
