Vendée Wine Route
Fiefs Vendéens wine grower of Chantonnay a variety of terroir
The Fiefs Vendéens appellation for Chantonnay boasts over 25 hectares, extending over the towns of Chantonnay and Saint Philbert du Pont Charrault. The vineyards are planted on the hilly slopes of Chantonnay, and are probably the highest in the Vendée.
Domaine de la Barbinière - where the wine can express itself
The Domaine de la Barbinière was created in 1978 by Philippe Orion and has evolved, relying on the best terroirs of Chantonnay. Philippe’s two sons, Vincent and Alban joined him on the estate in 2005. They were already well experienced thanks to their viticulture and oenology studies, and jobs in other vineyards in France and abroad.
Today, with a vineyard of 31 hectares and a passion for vines and wine, the objective is to allow the terroir to express itself through their wines.
