Major “must see”events not to be missed this June in the Vendée

Major cultural events in the Vendée in June!

Rendez-vous aux jardins: enjoy the great outdoors from Friday 31^st May to Sunday 2^nd June and stroll through some of Europe's magnificent gardens. This year's theme is "Les cinq sens au Jardin” (five senses in the garden).

La Journée des Loisirs En Vendée (Leisure Day in the Vendée): on Sunday 2^nd  June, people visiting some 40 partner tourist sites will be able to take advantage of an exceptional offer: one entry purchased = one free entry ( based on the lowest price) to the sites and leisure activities taking part in the operation!

The Olympic Torch Relay and other sporting events honour the Vendée this June(h2)

• The Olympic Torch Relay: the Vendée will have the honour of seeing the Olympic Torch pass through its region on Tuesday 4^th  June. You can see the Olympic Flame in Noirmoutier, La Roche sur Yon, Fontenay le Comte, the Pointe d'Arçay and at the Puy du Fou.
• Arrival of the New York-Vendée skippers: the final qualifying race for the Vendée Globe will start on Wednesday 29^th  May in New York, with the arrival of the skippers scheduled around  8^th , 9^th  and 10^th  June. It's the last repetition before the Everest of the Seas!
• Yoga Festival in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie: the only Yoga Festival in the Vendée! On the programme: hatha yoga, vinyasa by the sea, rock yoga, duo yoga, introduction to sophrology, exhibitors' village, massage area, discovery tours of the town and coastline, mini-lectures, concerts. From Friday 14^th to Sunday 16^th June.
• Vendée Cœur: on Saturday 15^th and Sunday 16^th June, Les Sables d'Olonne will be hosting the Vendée Cœur, a fundraising event. The aim is to support organisations that help sick or disabled children. Entertainment, concerts and races are scheduled over the weekend.
• Foulées du Gois: The legendary Foulées du Gois race celebrates its 36th edition in 2024! It's a chance to defy the tide and take in the spectacular scenery. The event takes place on Saturday 29^th June in Beauvoir sur Mer!

A busy month of June here in the Vendée with the Fête de la Musique and other festivals 

• Festival de Terre-Neuve: in Fontenay le Comte, this summer you’re in for a real treat. Be part of the Festival de Terre-Neuve and its open-air shows! From Friday 14^th to Saturday 22^nd June
• Fête de la musique: Everyone's looking forward to the Fête de la musique taking place on Friday 21^st June! Check out the list of all the music festivals taking place in the Vendée and choose the date that suits you best!
• Festival R.Pop: The Poupet festival returns from Wednesday 26^th  June to Friday 5^th  July for a new edition! This summer, enjoy a unique festive experience thanks to a superb line-up. It's a great way to spend an evening with family and friends. And it's totally free!
• Milcendeau se livre: on Sunday 23^rd June, the Musée Milcendeau in Soullans welcomes you to its book and arts festival: Milcendeau se livre. You'll be able to meet around twenty writers, painters, storytellers and musicians. There will also be a foodtruck and entertainment organised by the local schools.
• Festival de Poupet: The biggest festival in the Vendée returns from Wednesday 26^th June to Friday 19^th July! Are you ready for a unique atmosphere this summer! Toto, Zaho de Sagazan and Grand Corps Malade will all be there. It's sure to be a great evening out with the family, your partner or your friends!
