From Nantwich in the UK, this British family had enjoyed the Vendée, their lovely holiday destination and they finally decided to stay permanently from last year ! Anthony is keen to show us their favorites places and what the whole family particularly appreciate here.

THE VENDEE, AN HOLIDAY LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
This is where everything started : the Camping Paradis in Saint Julien des Landes. This the place where they used to go each year on holidays. The peaceful location, the welcoming and english speaking staff and all the possible activities around always satisfied them. One day, they said : what about living here all the time ? It’s been now one year that they are living the « french west side dream » !
LOCAL PRODUCTS : ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA
We all know that the French food is the best, and guess what ? The one from Vendée is even better ! At Nini & Ferdi grocery shop, the Vickers family love finding local and fresh products as an everyday habit. In addition to highlight small producers, they enrich their knowledge of the area… and that is priceless !
LUNCH WITH A VIEW AT THE JAUNAY LAKE
There is a place where time is stopped. Close your eyes and imagine a quiet lake surrounding by the forest where birdsongs are the main noise. Here you are ! This is the « Lac du Jaunay » : a relaxing place where you can do lots of activities. Just in front, there is a lovely restraurant called l’Auberge du Jaunay where Anthony and his family love to go to taste very nice meals in an english frendly vibe.
GRAND DEFI WILL MAKES YOUR CHILDREN HAPPY
What could be better than an attraction park to have fun with your little one ? Grand Défi has the biggest tree climbing in the world ! Push back your limits and try the adventure like Anthony. You will be as happy as your child !
