A miniature village made with passion and awarded the best one in France
Here, all the Vendée’s traditions are acknowledged - from the famous dance of the “brioche” at a local wedding, the traditional game of “palets” to even local culinary specialities such as the “mogette”. To fully understand this interesting and intriguing place, guided tours are possible in English.
For more than 15 years, Marie-Françoise and Yves Aubron have created each backdrop and every figure with great devotion, to recreate the daily life of an old village situated in the Bocage region during the 1920s. An original way of sharing their childhood in a rural village. Since 2019, Thomas Legris and Juliette Moret have taken over the site and continue to bring it to life. They promote it to as many people as possible by introducing new ideas and activities such as the pottery discovery workshop.
Vendée Miniature has the Accueil Vélo (bike welcome), Tourisme et handicap labels. In addition to being a living heritage site it has received the well-deserved distinction of the most beautiful miniature village in France.
