The 2nd April – The Start of the Pays de la Loire Cycling Tour
The start of the second edition of the Pays de la Loire Cycling Tour will take place in Fontenay le Comte on 2nd April 2024. For the first stage, the professional riders will head for Saint-Jean-de-Monts.
From 25th March to 1st April - Mondial de Montaigu tournament
The famous junior football tournament is back! This football tournament in the Vendée is world-renowned with a host of international football stars taking to the field in the north Vendée! These include Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Kylian Mbappé and, more recently, young Brazilian Endrick. A sporting event not to be missed.
From 19th to 21st April - Le Printemps du livre – Montaigu
Le Printemps du livre de Montaigu is back for its 34th edition, taking place between the 19th to 21st April 2024. This not-to-be-missed event will feature lectures and performances. It’s perfect for literature lovers!
From 8th to 11th May - Vendée Va'a - Les Sables d'Olonne
As in previous years, why not come to Les Sables d'Olonne to discover Polynesian culture and the spirit of the Va'a? This pirogue race (dugout canoe) brings together more than 250 rowers. Well worth seeing!
The 19th May - 31st edition of the Les Sables d'Olonne Half Marathon
Starting on the seafront (Le Remblai) in Les Sables d'Olonne and then following the coast road opposite La Pironnière, three running events will take place (successive starts): 5km, 10km and the International Half-Marathon - Les Sables d'Olonne. 21.100 km along the seafront.
From 17th to 26th May - Les Floralies Internationales France an important French event
For the first time since its creation in 1956, the Floralies Internationales will be taking place in the Vendée departement in 2024! From 17th to 26th May 2024, this major floral and plant event will amaze visitors from all over the world, hosted by the Logis de la Chabotterie in Montréverd,
From 18th to 21st May – the Randonnée 4 jours in Chantonnay
For 4 days, the town of Chantonnay welcomes walkers from all over the world! Whether you're a seasoned walker or a first-timer, come and take up the challenge!
Expected to arrive around 8th June – The Arrival of the New York-Vendée skippers
Les Sables d'Olonne will host the conclusion of the transatlantic single-handed sailing race, which acts as a qualifying event for the Vendée Globe, known as the New York Vendée Les Sables. The first skippers are expected to arrive around 8th June.
